About

This is our ultimate (so far) adventure. A trip of a lifetime and the fulfillment of “Oh, the places you’ll go….” From Dr Seus when we both were little. I’m writing this for our kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. So, if you’re reading this you’re either one of them or really can’t sleep andpicked this up!!
This trip is quite complicated balancing the places Teena wants to see, staying about 70F orwarmer, Shengen regulations, family visits, shipping cost & custom ease, favorite countries along with lots of other details…
To this end we are generally staying about a month at a time in various countries.

This document is broken into Monthly/Country chapters. Each has our planned dates, planned stops, planned lodging, and in some cases down to planned activities. I say “stops” as we will flex duration due to circumstances. I also say “planned” as I have to have a plan, even if we scrap it. Lastly we are trying have “Hubs” where we are based for 4 – 10 days and then spokes going out to various areas. We are prioritizing hiking, biking, water sports, festival/events, the back roads. No Paris, Berlin, etc…. We are taking our bikes and backpacks, snorkles, etc….

Will stay mostly in the RV. 3 ways to cool it, 3 ways to heat it, 4
ways to cook. Multiple ways to recharge batteries (solar, duel alternator, EU grid). We have bed, bathroom, shower, water tanks, so capable of being off grid for multiple days if really needed. We will still prioritize campgrounds and will stay in ABNB/Resorts when the kids visit. We are experienced “dispersed” campers (ie on the beach), if that makes sense. Also, can stealth camp overnight along a road easily if needed.

So here we go…..
July – NWA, Michigan, Baltimore
August (waiting on RV) – Germany & Belgium
August (with RV) – Belgium, Switzerland, Italy
September – Greece
October – North Macedonia, Bosnia
November – Albania, Montenegro Resort
December – Morocco
Christmas – Canary Island Resort

February – Spain
March – Portugal
